duties: The
QA Engineer will work with his/her peers in developing and implementing test
plans and test cases, as well as manually testing software and systems.
Required:
- 4+ years of professional software testing experience
- Experience developing test suites to both improve the level of testing and the quality of the product tested
- Must be able to communicate effectively with engineering and management on issues affecting the quality of the products tested and the efficiency of the Quality Assurance Team
- Proven experience and success in automating test processes, test efficiency and reducing test cycle times
- Improving the test processes in Quality Assurance to insure greater test coverage to increase productivity
- Must have strong communication, leadership that develops a creative and positive team orientated environment
- Must be willing to escalate quality assurance issues when appropriate
Desired:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent; relevant work experience will also be considered
- Knowledge of C, C++, and PERL
- Expertise with creating and automating test cases, test based reports, developing and communicating test plans
- Experience with various quality assurance methodologies
- Experience using bug-tracking systems to effectively manage quality in software products and the efficiency of a quality assurance team
- Administration of defect tracking systems would be a big plus
- Experience working in an NT environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
